Gregory Porter
Gregory Porter, one of eight siblings, began singing at an early age in a church, where his mother was a minister. He would soon discover the music of Nat King Cole, and through his mother's support and vision, and the courage that Gregory held within, he would later decide to pursue a professional career in music. In 2002 Gregory Porter's first full album vocal feature was produced and recorded on Session Resurrection's "Zbonics - Time To Do Your Thing" recordings. Gregory then became an original cast member of the four-time Tony nominated Broadway Musical, "It Ain't Nothin' but the Blues”. Porter continues to tour around the world to sold out venues, and audiences who seek out his brilliant baritone voice projecting the combined elements of jazz, soul and gospel. Gregory was nominated for four Grammy awards and won two Grammys. One for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014 (Liquid Spirit), and another in 2017 (Take Me To The Alley).
